New website reveal + 2025 preview

My new website is live!

Ever since I launched my site in 2023, I've been looking forward to the day I could give it the love it deserved. It really has been a labor of love, and I'm so thrilled to share it with you today!

Here's what's different (and the strategy behind each change):

  • I added a new section to my site: a blog! Over the next few months, I'm going to copy over all of my past newsletters into this section. Right now, my archive is stored in my email service provider's ecosystem. By adding over 2 years' worth of weekly content to my own site, I take full advantage of all that good SEO. Plus, I'm tagging and categorizing each post: keyword gold!
  • I took my own advice and made my newsletter signup more prominent on every page.
  • I made the site much more interactive, even on mobile. Almost every section of my new site contains a clickable menu; you can quickly snap to information that's relevant to you, which I hope will increase engagement and time-on-page.
  • I created a Process page. The need for this page was realized over the past year: 1) Newsletters centering around my processes performed best by a lot & 2) You can't over on-board a prospective client. The more you know about my process before we work together, the better!
  • I finally made a Portfolio I'm proud of. I've done a ton of work (and learned a lot) since I created my first Portfolio page and I think the new version captures that well. Each project has its own section and menu which condenses a lot of information into manageable chunks.
  • I've been asked to speak a few times over the past year or so. I really enjoy teaching in a face-to-face setting and, selfishly, I love to travel. I added a Speaking page to be more intentional about growing that branch of my business in 2025 and beyond.

Speaking of 2025, what can you expect from me?

  • More newsletters ofc <3
  • Free Digital Marketing training this spring. Read more about that here and reply if you want communication about it!
  • I'll be speaking at Mission & Ministry at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in February. My presentation is titled, "The Church Marketing Playbook: Throwing Wide Open Your Digital Front Doors." You can plan to receive a recorded version of my presentation & all the handouts.
  • I'm attending WELSTech's AI Summit in Doral, FL. I want to capture my experience and share it with you. I'm still brainstorming exactly how I'll do that, but, rest assured, you'll get the highlights.
  • More projects with you awesome people. Right now, I'm booking projects that begin in August of this year. If you've considered making a change to your digital approach in 2025 and you think you'd like me to be a part of that, I would encourage you to begin my Discovery Process now (it's free).

That's all for me. Oh, you want to check out the site? Go for it!

I'm writing this on the 31st, so I have no choice but to say: Until next year,

Grace

It's been a while since we went FULL nerd-mode. Today's the day, ladies & gentlemen. 🤓 This past week, I was asked a question: "Can you make the livestream button only show up on Sunday mornings?" Well, of course! Do I have any idea how to do that? No! Will I figure it out? Yes! And I did! Why do this? We wanted to make a BIG RED BUTTON show up on the homepage of the church's website so that a few older, home-bound members could easily find the link. BUT—we didn't really want this slightly...

Sending out Easter postcards? Here are a few ways to squeeze the most possible value out of that pretty significant investment. 1) Incentivize a QR code scan Ideally, try to get the recipient to interact with the mailer.
